Procurement Leadership Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social procurement strategies that support local suppliers, small-to-medium-sized enterprises, social enterprises, and fair supply chain practices.
  • Promote workforce development through targeted apprenticeships, traineeships, and upskilling initiatives.
  • Cultivate strategies to increase employment and business opportunities for Indigenous peoples and enterprises.
  • Enhance cultural awareness and contribute to a culturally inclusive working environment.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to champion social and cultural outcomes along the project corridor.
  • Provide expert advice, reporting, and compliance oversight to ensure initiatives align with relevant policy frameworks.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in leading complex social procurement initiatives and implementing social outcomes frameworks, preferably in large-scale project environments.
  • A thorough understanding of Queensland Government policies, including the Modern Slavery Act.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with community members.
  • Valid working rights for Queensland, Australia.
