About this role

This is a hands-on position that involves executing daily and weekly priorities at the site, directly leading team members on-site, and ensuring they are trained and competent to perform duties across all areas of operation. The role requires ensuring work priorities are executed safely while maintaining focus on quality and cost controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing routine operations in accordance with policies and procedures related to employee, food and feed safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitoring production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications.
  • Ensuring operational plans are executed at the site.
  • Providing high-quality customer service.
  • Developing, supervising, and coaching casual staff at the site.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with plant operations, implements, and attachments, tractors, tele handlers, bulk material conveying, and small plant and hand tools.
  • Training and certifications provided for additional required tickets and licenses.
  • Experience within the grain industry or bulk material handling sector will be highly regarded.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety standards with an ability and desire to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • A hands-on and practical approach to work tasks with an ability to problem-solve.
  • A valid driver's license.
