Job Title: Centre Director

The centre director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a childcare centre. They must ensure that the centre provides a high-quality programme of care and education to children.

Main Responsibilities:
  • The centre director will be responsible for managing staff, resources, and finances effectively.
  • They must provide leadership and support to educators and workers to maintain the effective function of the service.
  • The centre director will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Requirements:
  • A recognised university degree or diploma in early childhood education is essential for this role.
  • Candidates must have completed a child protection course, including Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Harm.
  • Authorised/Nominated Supervisor certification is also required, as outlined in the Education and Care Services National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2018.
  • Additional qualifications include a first aid certificate, anaphylaxis and asthma management training, and a Working With Children Check Number.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as an Authorised/Nominated Supervisor in a child care field is necessary.
