Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a driven individual to take on the role of Workshop Supervisor at our Gunnedah branch. Reporting directly to the Service Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, organization, and supervision of workshop operations to fulfill customer needs while ensuring projects are completed safely and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all WHS obligations among HCA employees and contractors, fostering a culture centered on safety.
  • Maintain work schedules to optimize the use of labor and equipment.
  • Inspire and lead a team of workshop tradespeople to adhere to OEM standards and protocols.
  • Efficiently manage resources and labor to meet customer delivery timelines.
  • Assist in coordinating labor, parts, and resources to facilitate timely repairs.
  • Implement six sigma methodologies to identify and act on continuous improvement opportunities within your area.

Candidate Profile:

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical trades.
  • S1, S2, S3 certifications.
  • Previous supervisory experience with strong leadership capabilities to foster team cohesion.
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety and a solid understanding of WHS regulations.
  • Experience in maintaining earthmoving machinery (familiarity with Hitachi equipment is a plus).
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of juggling multiple tasks effectively.
  • Initiative to contribute to continuous improvement and implement change.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
