Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our expanding Gunnedah branch as a Workshop Supervisor. Reporting to the Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the service workshop operations to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure HCA employees and contractors comply with all WHS responsibilities and promote a safety-first culture.
- Maintain work schedules to ensure efficient utilization of labor and equipment.
- Lead and motivate a team of workshop tradesmen to work within OEM specifications and guidelines.
- Effective and efficient resource and labor utilization to ensure compliance with customer delivery expectations.
- Assist in the coordination of labor, parts, and resource availability to achieve timely machine shutdown repairs.
- Apply six sigma philosophy to provide continuous improvement opportunities within your area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualifications.
- S1, S2, S3 qualifications.
- Similar supervisory experience with strong leadership skills and the ability to guide your team to work cohesively.
- Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles.
- Experience in the maintenance of earthmoving equipment (Hitachi equipment would be an advantage).
- Excellent time management with the ability to effectively manage multiple work fronts.
- The ability to use initiative to contribute and support continuous improvement and drive change.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy, particularly working with MS Office.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of WHS principles, experience in the maintenance of earthmoving equipment, and excellent time management skills.
