We're seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to oversee the financial operations of our Centre.
About the RoleThis is an opportunity to join our team and provide key support in budgeting, reporting, compliance, and day-to-day financial administration. You will manage accounts payable and receivable, process payroll, prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, reconcile bank statements, and maintain general ledger entries.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including childcare fees and supplier payments.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant awards and entitlements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger entries.
- Monitor cash flow and support funding/grant reporting.
- Ensure compliance with ATO and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
- Qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Diploma or higher).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance/accounting role.
- Familiarity with early childhood education funding processes.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB).
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration or willingness to obtain.
