Regional Land Management Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a regional team delivering private land conservation programs across the North Coast region.

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to engage with private landholders, enter into conservation agreements and provide support through site visits, technical advice, and agreement monitoring.
  • The successful candidate will review conservation agreements annually and support landholders to deliver their obligations.
  • They will conduct field and desktop assessments of land and biodiversity assets, using spatial tools to produce maps for inclusion in agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. To collaborate with stakeholders to deliver programs, projects, and partnerships related to BCT initiatives.
  2. To have a passion for environmental conservation and natural resource management, with strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
About You:

We are looking for someone who has relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, or ecology.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to use geographical information systems (GIS) software and be a capable problem solver, good communicator, and team player.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on-site and develop your skills in conservation program delivery.
