Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise to a role that values precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement. As a skilled Program Management Officer, you will be integral in planning and executing large-scale programs, from initial scoping to IT delivery and everything in between.

About the Role:

  • You will collaborate within a hybrid team of APS staff and contractors, fostering an agile, supportive work environment.
  • Monitor program progress, adjust schedules, and ensure alignment with program scope and objectives.
  • Analyse critical paths, mitigate potential risks, and prepare alternate plans in response to any program delays.
  • Liaise with project staff and provide senior management with briefings on any significant impact to program goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support seamless program delivery.
  • Prepare detailed reports and briefings for senior officials, ensuring compliance with standards and accuracy.
  • Regularly update management on program status, highlighting any deviations and actions recommended.

Key Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager.
  • Previous experience managing a range of business-based projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Can demonstrate experience working in Agile projects.
  • Strong ability to manage plans, timelines, budgets, and resources in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Skilled in managing project risks, issues, and dependencies with a strategic approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
  • Superior communication skills to present complex information clearly.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, fostering a culture of agility and innovation.
