Health and Safety Manager - Australia

At HDR, we are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees across the country.

About the Role

This part-time position is being offered for 3 days per week and can be based in any of our major offices, including Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane. As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice and leadership on health, wellbeing, and safety matters
  • Overseeing health and safety planning, coordinating and delivering training, and reviewing safety documentation
  • Chairing the Australian Safety Committee and preparing monthly safety performance reports
  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategies to address psychosocial risks and enhance support services for our teams

About You

We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of technical experience in health and safety management, ideally within an architecture and engineering consultancy. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances.
