About the Role

We are seeking a talented Content Writer to join our dynamic Marketing & Communications team at BaptistCare. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating engaging content for various marketing channels.

Reporting to the Head of Media & Communications, you will be responsible for crafting emotive and factual content that showcases our services, employment opportunities, and fundraising initiatives. Your writing skills will bring audiences on a journey as they learn about and connect with our organisation.

You will work closely with our Marketing teams and experts from across our services to develop content for blogs, news stories, social media, brochures, and internal campaigns. Your attention to detail, tone, and ability to avoid burying the lead will be essential in creating compelling messages.

As a Content Writer, you will also oversee publishing content across various channels, manage organic social media strategies, and maintain a presence on digital platforms.

Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent experience in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related role, planning, writing, editing, and producing engaging marketing content.
  • Proven ability to write strong, engaging content across various formats, prioritising audience needs.
  • Familiarity with digital communications and social media tools, including website CMS management, social media scheduling, and eDM platforms.
