At AUS Medtronic Australia, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of professionals in the field of pricing and contracting. As a Senior Manager, Pricing and Contracting, you will be responsible for leading the Strategic Pricing and Tenders teams for the Australia and New Zealand region.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Pricing and Contracting will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of pricing and contracting strategies for the region. This will include managing tenders and contract lifecycles, determining the strategy for new product launches, and partnering with business stakeholders to execute price uplift opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the team of 11 employees
  • Manage 4 direct reports – a Manager of Tenders & Contracts and 3 Strategic Pricing Analysts
  • Plan and prioritize work for team members
  • Represent Global Pricing & Contracting function with local business leaders in ANZ
  • Translate global goals, objectives, and priorities into local implementation plans
  • Identify price uplift opportunities and partner with business stakeholders on execution
  • Provide input to price decisions for key tenders & contracts
  • Implementation and monitoring of local pricing, contracting, and tender governance & policies
  • Partner with broader Pricing & Contracting organization (e.g. shifting operational tasks to COEs, adoption of analytics, support to IBP/forecasting process, system/technology upgrades etc.)
  • Lead local periodic business reviews & manage escalations from local stakeholders
  • Learn and share best practices with other regional teams
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement programs

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 3+ years of managerial experience. Strong commercial acumen and experience in med-tech or pharma are preferred. The candidate should also have excellent communication skills, analytical skills, and experience with pricing software.
