Senior Technical Leader

A senior technical leader is required to oversee the operation and maintenance of all machinery and electrical equipment on a cement carrier vessel. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, as well as planning and implementing regular maintenance schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Safe and efficient operation of all machinery and electrical equipment;
- Effective maintenance of the whole ship, including steelwork repairs and painting;
- Issuance of Vessel's Work Orders;
- Reporting of any deficiencies affecting the safe operation of the vessel;
- Ensuring that planned maintenance systems meet regulatory requirements.
- Engineer class 1 qualification (AMSA Marine Order 72);
- Minimum 12 months sea time as a First Engineer;
- MSIC Card or ability to obtain;
- Working Safely at Heights certification or ability to obtain;
- Enter and Work in a Confined Workspace certification or ability to obtain;
- Current AMSA Medical certificate or ability to obtain;
- Living in Australia.
