About the Role

The role of an experienced leader is sought to lead a group of engineers. Your responsibilities will be split across people management and project delivery, including assisting with the design and delivery of projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of experienced engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management while setting clear goals for success.
  • Collaborate with other Team Leaders within the group to drive multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring effective strategic planning, resource allocation, and utilization.
  • Utilise your expertise in Building Services to provide technical insights for project proposals and bids, lead major projects, and foster strong client relationships across a diverse portfolio.
  • Apply your commercial acumen and analytical skills to interpret complex financial systems and reports, contributing to both the broader operational business and specific project success.
  • Drive innovation and best practices within the Building Services discipline, ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable engineering solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or another related discipline) with experience in direct team management and a leadership role.
  • Ideally, 12+ years of experience in the sector, with a proven track record of delivering projects as a Lead Engineer, Project Manager, or Design Manager across diverse market sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in resource planning and resource mapping across multiple engineering projects.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with engineers from various disciplines as the Project Lead, leveraging your technical expertise and exceptional communication skills.
  • CPEng / RPEQ and/or Accreditation (highly advantageous) with strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to engage with clients, consultants, and project teams to drive successful project outcomes.
