Duty Manager Job Description

The Duty Manager is a key leadership role that requires exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the venue, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and leading a team of diverse personalities to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Development and Training: The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Communication and Team Management: The Duty Manager will serve as a communication hub, navigating multiple platforms to keep the team connected, informed, and motivated. They will also lead by example, demonstrating exceptional communication skills, empathy, and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Venue Experience: This individual will create an atmosphere that exudes warmth, cleanliness, and maintenance, ensuring every customer interaction is positive and memorable.
Requirements:
  • Prior Experience: The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as a bar or hospitality setting.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential for this role, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally and diplomatically.
  • Cocktail Knowledge: Knowledge of different types of beverages, cocktails, and their ingredients is highly beneficial, but not required.
  • Organizational Skills: The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain accurate records.
  • RSA Certification: RSA certification is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
