Role Overview: We are seeking an Investment Manager to oversee the full investment cycle, from sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities to executing and managing investments. This role is crucial in driving our mission of economic independence for Indigenous Australians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing portfolio strategy.
  • Source, evaluate, and execute potential investment opportunities.
  • Build best practice financial models.
  • Formulate and execute investment strategies, including exit and growth Strategies.
  • Estimate the impacts of potential investments (equity returns, employment, procurement).
  • Prepare and present high-quality papers to the investment committee/board.
  • Oversee integration and ongoing management of allocated investments, including monitoring performance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with Indigenous, business, and professional partners to source potential investment opportunities.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years at manager level in corporate finance, private equity, or a related field.
  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, business, accounting, actuarial studies, and/or law are essential.
  • Experience in renewable energy or residential housing development is advantageous.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA/CA, CFA, MBA or MCom with a valuation major) are highly regarded.
  • Strong financial analysis and valuation skills.
