Project Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead our Urban Infrastructure projects in Western Australia.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior management positions and a proven track record in managing budgets, timelines, and resources to consistently exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance systems and processes for improved business efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external project resources effectively.
  • Oversee monthly reporting, including updates in Synergy and progress reports to the COO.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's strategic and operational goals.
  • Provide leadership to align technical capabilities with organizational needs, including training.
  • Participate in workforce planning to identify future resourcing needs and collaborate with HR.
  • Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the broader organization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and drive innovation in response to market changes.

Requirements

  • Extensive industry experience with a strong or developing background in management roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant systems and procedures, along with practical principles and methods.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to motivate and lead a dynamic senior leadership team.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business dynamics.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and industry peers.
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrates integrity, credibility, and commitment to the organization's vision and values.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced and ambiguous environments, driving clarity and solutions.
  • Resourceful in prioritizing and investing in people and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, with problem-solving skills to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
