Job Description

Trades Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement and Parts Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality parts and materials for our clients in the Australian Engineering and Manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our Engineering and Production teams to identify parts required for production and ensure timely delivery.
  • Source and purchase parts from local and international suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to ensure optimal value.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of new software and maintenance of existing systems to optimize procurement processes.
  • Manage and maintain accurate databases and records of parts, suppliers, and inventory levels.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Collaborate with our Finance team to identify and clear dead and slow-moving stock, optimizing inventory levels and reducing waste.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote and sell retail parts, identifying new platforms for marketing and sales.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the motor vehicle industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including Microsoft Office and procurement management tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
