Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior HST Advisor to join our team at the Woodie Woodie Mine Site, located 407 km southeast of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region.

Reporting to the Superintendent, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of H&S Advisors, ESO/Medics, and Health and Lifestyle Coordinators, working alongside a B2B Senior.
  • Assisting in creating and coordinating the Company, Site, and Team Health and Safety Plan, aligned with proactive safety culture improvements.
  • Ensuring a risk-based approach to health and safety across operations.
  • Maintaining systems, processes, and data to monitor and report safety and health performance accurately and timely.
  • Leading investigations when required, coaching others, and preparing reports.
  • Conducting audits to ensure compliance and developing recommendations and actions.
  • Developing direct reports through coaching and mentoring.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in similar roles within the resources industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in OH&S or related fields.
  • ICAM or equivalent investigative qualification.
  • Experience in coaching and developing safety peers.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles with the ability to develop effective control measures.
  • Emergency Response qualifications and experience are preferred.
  • Cert IV Healthcare Ambulance or similar qualification is desirable.
  • Current C Class Driver's license.
  • High computer literacy, especially in INX, Pronto, and MS Office Suite.
