About the Role

The Food Services Assistant plays a key role in implementing, monitoring and evaluating the Food Safety Program; and providing quality food and beverages to meet resident's individual needs and preferences.

  • Contribute to menu planning that meets the resident's needs and preferences.
  • Preparation, serving, presentation and delivery of food and refreshments in accordance with the Food Safety Program.
  • General cleaning in accordance with the Food Safety Program.
  • Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program.
  • Ensure timely and friendly delivery of meals and refreshments to all residents.
Essential Requirements
  • Certified Food Handling Course.
  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Experience in residential aged care food services.
