About the Role

This exciting opportunity is focused on cultivating key relationships and building trust with donors to support priority projects. As a passionate fundraiser, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prospective major and mid-tier donors, actively engaging them through various channels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivating key relationships to build trust and long-term engagement, supporting donors to understand the transformational impact of their contributions.
  • Active management of a portfolio of prospective major and mid-tier donors to support priority projects and initiatives.
  • Supporting the delivery of relevant donor events and communications that foster a sense of community and shared purpose.
  • Maintaining effective records of donor engagement through advanced CRM systems.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance skills that support philanthropic programmes and ensure alignment with organisational goals.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans that drive fundraising success. Your expertise in project management, relationship-building, and communication will be essential in delivering results-oriented solutions that meet the needs of donors and the organisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or community engagement, ideally within a non-profit and/or educational environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent project management skills and time management, including the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and creative thinking, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A sound knowledge of marketing, communications, and fundraising principles, particularly within the education sector.
  • Previous experience working within complex customer-focused organisations and a proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
  • An ability to interpret, analyse, and report on data to inform decision-making.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and presentations.
  • Strong knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems.
