Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned employment lawyer to provide expert legal support to our client on short-term contract basis, based in the Sydney Metropolitan area.
About the Role
This is an urgent opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel with strong ER/IR experience to join our in-house legal team, providing strategic advice and support on employment-related projects across the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and support on employment law matters, including negotiation of agreements and contracts;
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues, both internally and externally;
- Develop and implement effective strategies to address complex employment law issues;
- Maintain accurate records of all relevant documents and correspondence related to employment law matters.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A minimum of 5+ years' post-admission experience in employment law;
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with ability to build and maintain effective relationships;
- A commercial and adaptable approach, with ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- An up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations, including industrial relations legislation.
