We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our in-house legal team on a short-term contract basis. This opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel with strong ER/IR experience to provide legal support to the business on a range of employment and industrial relations projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have at least 5+ years' experience as an Employment Lawyer, with a proven track record of providing expert advice on employment law matters. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal services to support the business's HR function, including advising on employment contracts, disciplinary procedures, and other related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on employment law matters, including employment contracts, disciplinary procedures, and other related issues;
  • Deliver high-quality legal services to support the business's HR function, including reviewing and drafting employment contracts and policies;
  • Collaborate with the business's HR team to ensure effective communication and delivery of employment law services;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including HR managers and senior leaders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, including relevant legislation and case law;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders;
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think critically and creatively;
  • High levels of organization and time management, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. The estimated salary for this role is $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
