About Our Team

The Senior Procurement Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of procurement services and providing expert advice in line with the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Communicate procurement strategies and QPP requirements to staff, facilitating changes to traditional procurement practices through training and education.
  2. Prepare tenders across categories including construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrades, applying evaluation and regulatory techniques.
  3. Implement local procurement practices to achieve cost efficiencies and compliance with QPP.
  4. Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and performance standards.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of medium and major building contracts.
  6. Ensure compliance with all procurement-related legislation, policies, and delegations.
  7. Deliver a high standard of customer service, including coordination of responses to escalated customer queries.
About You:
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy and government procurement processes.
  • Proven experience preparing tenders and managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
