Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinical Education Specialist to join our team in Broken Hill, NSW. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment providing clinical education and training to healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote a learning culture that supports innovative practice across mental health, drug and alcohol services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with experience in mental health nursing and education to grow their career in a regional setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Authority to Practice as a registered nurse with AHPRA
  • Holds a relevant clinical or educational post-registration qualification or 3 years of clinical experience in mental health nursing and education
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of teaching and facilitation in adult learning principles within the healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills to individuals or in group settings using the practice development framework
  • Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment processes
  • Computer literacy including planning documents, reporting schedules and Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Word; ability to pull data from hospital systems to inform educational resources
  • Clean and current driving license and the ability to travel with the requirements of the role
