About the Role:
Our Infrastructure division is currently constructing some of Australia's most complex projects, including the Black Hill to Tomago M1, Gold Coast Light Rail, and Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre. We're seeking a Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team in Pyrmont. As a key member of our Strategy, Customer & Markets team, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing and sustaining enduring relationships with customers and stakeholders, including peak bodies, government entities, community groups, supply chain partners, designers, consultants, and end users.
- Identifying and prioritizing major prospects in line with short to medium strategic goals and determining the probability of winning a project.
- Developing and leading winning prospect strategies up until formal EOI and Tender phase. You'll work with pre-contracts teams to support the conversion of prospects to projects through the EOI/Tender phase by advocating win themes and customer priorities.
- Contributing to the development, establishment, and implementation of strategic plans spanning 0-5 years.
- Promoting John Holland's capabilities and positioning John Holland Infrastructure in the market.
- Identifying new market sectors and developing and implementing strategies to effectively penetrate those markets.
About You:
To be considered for this key role, you must have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Commerce, Engineering, or Science (preferred). Other backgrounds will be considered.
- Significant experience in business development and/or tendering.
- Experience working with government entities.
- The ability to quantify business risk and return on investment.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced tendering environment.
- Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
