Child Welfare Advocate

The primary role of the Advanced Child Protection Specialist is to receive and assess reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people.
This position requires thorough investigations, case planning, and coordination with colleagues to ensure the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.
The Advanced Child Protection Specialist will possess a valid driver's license, be willing to travel, including to rural areas and interstate, and work varying hours to ensure the wellbeing of children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting risk assessments and analysis of complex cases
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues on relevant frameworks
- Reviewing and managing case plans to ensure effective outcomes for children
- Critical inquiry to develop and build knowledge and skills
A strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and legislative requirements relating to Aboriginal children, families, and communities is essential for this role.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license, willingness to travel, and ability to work varying hours.
