The role of a Volunteer Animal Ethics Committee Member is to contribute to the review of research activities involving animals. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and have a strong understanding of the context in which it operates.

About the Position
  • Review research projects involving animals, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Engage in effective communication and interpersonal skills during committee discussions and meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of the legislative framework governing animal use in research and teaching through ongoing training and education.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in promoting animal welfare.
  • Good understanding of the general context of animal welfare.
  • Able to read, interpret and comment on meeting materials using online systems.
  • Ability to attend meetings in person.
