Data Officer Role Description


The Data Officer will be responsible for maintaining data quality control and management across various electronic databases to facilitate the conduct of research studies.


This role will involve data cleaning, data query resolution, data mapping, and database design, development, and implementation, with a focus on REDCap database management for clinical data collection and study management.


The Data Officer will work closely with the Systems Manager to ensure the continued functioning of electronic databases and support the conduct of research studies.


Key Responsibilities



  • Maintain data quality control and management across various electronic databases
  • Develop and implement database design, development, and implementation
  • Provide data solutions for clinical data collection and study management using REDCap
  • Work closely with the Systems Manager to ensure the continued functioning of electronic databases

Requirements



  • Graduate biomedical science qualifications or relevant experience in clinical research
  • Demonstrated experience in data management, data cleaning, and data query resolution
  • Experience with REDCap database management viewed as an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven knowledge of International Council for Harmonisation Good Clinical Research Practice Guidelines (ICH GCP)
