Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned and commercially astute business development professional to drive growth in Western Australia's mining sector.

This is a newly created position based in Perth, offering a unique opportunity to play a key role in expanding our presence in a major strategic market.

In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of the WA mining industry and existing networks to identify and secure new contracts, build long-term client relationships, and help shape our strategy in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading business development activities across WA, targeting opportunities in open pit, underground, and emerging mineral sectors.
  • Proactively identifying, pursuing, and winning high-value work with major and mid-tier mining companies.
  • Building strong, lasting relationships with procurement leaders, site management, and key decision-makers.
  • Representing the business at industry events, networking opportunities, and tender presentations.
  • Working closely with technical, operational, and leadership teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions.
  • Managing the tender process from start to finish, including contract negotiations.
  • Providing market intelligence and competitor insights to inform strategy.
  • Keeping CRM records up to date with leads, client interactions, and pipeline activity.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years' experience in business development within the mining industry, with a strong track record in the WA market.
  • Demonstrated success securing contracts with mid to large mining operators.
  • A well-established professional network across procurement, engineering, and mine leadership.
  • Solid understanding of drill and blast services, explosives, and mining operations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical capability into client value.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, able to work independently while being part of a national team.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining, Business, or a related field highly regarded.
