Job Opportunity: Lead Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead the development of electrical designs for industrial and commercial installations, including power distribution, motor control, protection systems, and lighting. They will oversee preparation of detailed drawings, schematics, cable schedules, and documentation using electrical CAD software.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards, client specifications, and statutory regulations. The design quality is maintained through adherence to company procedures, peer reviews, and design checks.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of LV and HV electrical systems, equipment specifications, and design practices. Proficiency in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP or PowerTools is required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in electrical design engineering
  • Strong knowledge of LV and HV electrical systems
  • Proficiency in electrical design tools
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
