Job Title: Dedicated Support SpecialistAbout the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Offer transportation assistance to clients and provide respite care to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to guarantee the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements
  • A minimum of high school or equivalent education.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion.
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities is highly regarded.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends is required.
  • A strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines is essential.
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations is necessary.
  • The ability to work with a diverse client base, taking into account the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills are required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, are necessary.
  • Access to ongoing training and development opportunities is provided.
