Role Summary:

Job Title: Fire Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Fire Support Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in their community.

This role involves working closely with emergency responders to provide critical support during incidents. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property, responding to emergency calls, and promoting community safety and emergency preparedness.

Purpose of the Role:
  • To respond effectively to emergency incidents and maintain public safety
  • To participate in regular drills and training sessions to develop and maintain competencies
  • To operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment
Key Accountabilities:
  • Respond promptly and professionally to fire and other emergency incidents
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training

This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, a high level of physical fitness, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Requirements:
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Employers written consent to attend incidents and emergencies
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station
