We are seeking an experienced Credit Officer to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit related tasks, including processing daily banking, applying customer payments, and reconciling debtors' ledgers. They will also be required to identify and research unapplied cash, contact customers for remittance advices, and resolve invoice related customer queries.

Responsibilities
  • Processing Daily Banking: The Credit Officer will be responsible for processing daily banking, including applying customer payments and reconciling debtors' ledgers.
  • Customer Contact: The successful candidate will be required to contact customers to facilitate payment of invoices due and resolve invoice related customer queries.
  • Debtors' Ledgers: The Credit Officer will be responsible for reconciling debtors' ledgers and ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Unapplied Cash: The successful candidate will be required to identify and research unapplied cash, contacting customers for remittance advices as necessary.
Requirements
  • Credit Experience: The successful candidate will have proven credit experience within a large scale organisation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Attention to Detail: The Credit Officer must have excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Autonomy: The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
