We're looking for a seasoned professional to lead our credit risk management team. This pivotal role ensures our frameworks, policies, and risk practices align with regulatory expectations while supporting sound commercial decision-making and sustainable growth.

This position is responsible for providing strategic oversight of credit risk across our treasury investment assets and loan portfolio, ensuring profitability while balancing risk appetite and regulatory compliance.

  • Lead the development of a robust hindsight process to ensure sound credit decisions and accountability.
  • Monitor credit risk RAS metrics and ensure the portfolio remains within appetite.
  • Design and implement a fit for purpose credit risk stress testing framework aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct control testing in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation of credit risk-related prudential standards.

This leader will monitor the end-to-end credit risk lifecycle, balancing profitability with risk appetite and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit risk management principles and be able to drive business outcomes through effective leadership and strategic decision-making.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing credit risk strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to identify areas for enhancement and develop solutions.
  • Providing regular updates to senior management on credit risk performance and any emerging trends or issues.
