Senior ICT Systems Leader

We are seeking a seasoned systems leader to oversee the delivery, integration, and sustainment of secure, high-performance ICT systems in support of mission planning capability. This key leadership role is responsible for managing both the technical direction and day-to-day operations of network and server environments across fixed and deployed contexts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians in the development, integration, and sustainment of software, hardware, data, tools, and processes for ADF mission planning systems in fixed and deployed environments.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set team objectives, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Oversee the maintenance of physical server and networking hardware, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of system configurations for MPS laptops and servers.
  • Coordinate the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of software and security updates.
  • Provide technical leadership for resolving data support issues and ensuring mission systems meet operational requirements.
  • Support Defence strategic networks, ensuring compliance with security and accreditation standards.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate program and technical risks within the operations scope.
  • Review, verify, and enhance documentation for MPS development and sustainment.
  • Ensure project deliverables are met on time and within scope; Foster collaboration with technical staff and client stakeholders to deliver innovative, secure ICT solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Defence ICT environments (including Defence Protected Environment (DPE) and Defence Secret Environment (DSE))
  • MS Windows Imaging
  • MS Windows security
  • MS Windows Server Platforms
  • Technical/Admin level experience with client operating systems from MS Windows 10 – 11
  • MS Windows Office products
  • Software Scripting
  • Defence ICT Security Accreditation requirements
