Job Opportunity:

The Network and Server Operations Team Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-performance ICT systems. This position involves strategic leadership and day-to-day operations of network and server environments across fixed and deployed Defence contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of technicians in software, hardware, data, tools, and processes for ADF mission planning systems.
  2. Conduct performance reviews, set team objectives, and foster a collaborative team culture.
  3. Ensure high availability and performance of physical server and networking hardware.
  4. Manage system configurations for MPS laptops and servers.
  5. Coordinate the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of software and security updates.
  6. Lead technical efforts to resolve data support issues and ensure mission systems meet operational requirements.
  7. Support Defence strategic networks, ensuring compliance with security and accreditation standards.
  8. Identify, manage, and mitigate program and technical risks within the operations scope.
  9. Review, verify, and enhance documentation for MPS development and sustainment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Defence ICT environments (including Defence Protected Environment and Defence Secret Environment).
  • MS Windows Imaging.
  • MS Windows security.
  • MS Windows Server Platforms.
  • Technical/Admin level experience with client operating systems from MS Windows 10-11.
  • MS Windows Office products.
  • Software Scripting.
  • Defence ICT Security Accreditation requirements.
