About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our high-performing team at Veolia. As a key member of our function, you will provide health and safety compliance advice to operational management and support personnel to achieve safety excellence.

This autonomous and varied role involves audit, engagement, training, investigation, and continuous improvement, enabling you to make a tangible impact on our company's safety performance.

You will be based in the metropolitan area and may need to travel to remote locations, so it is essential that you have a valid Australian driver's license and are willing to do so.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, engaging relationships at all levels within the organization
  • Lead incident investigations and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate communication
  • Conduct inspections and audits according to our internal schedule, promoting a culture of compliance
  • Be proactive in promoting health and safety, continually identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes
  • Be visible across the workplace, building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders by spending time in the field

Your Requirements

  • A formal qualification in WHS (Cert 4 or greater) and relevant industry experience
  • A qualification in incident investigation, such as ICAM, or equivalent experience
  • Effective influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of an organization
  • A working knowledge and understanding of relevant WHS legislation, including Chain of Responsibility
  • A valid Australian driver's license

Estimated Salary: AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
