About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health & Sustainability Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity based in North Fremantle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure business units comply with group HSE standards and statutory obligations by completing compliance audits and developing action plans.
  • Mentor and coach site Supervisors through regular site visits to implement SHEMS effectively.
  • Collate reports on incidents, safety statistics, recordable injuries, and lead/lag indicators for corporate reporting.
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations using ICAM and monitor completion of online incident management system entries.
  • Participate in facilitating OHS committees and forums to ensure sites meet Group Standards and Enterprise Agreement requirements.
  • Provide input to the State Safety Manager recommending system improvements and initiatives to ensure legal and statutory compliance.
  • Review contractor Safety plans and submissions to ensure Qube requirements are met.
  • Implement Qube safety strategies, ensuring all sites are aware and implementing these strategies.
  • Plan and lead risk assessment processes to minimize risks.
  • Work closely with the State SHE Manager to implement corporate governance processes and protocols.
  • Manage environmental management systems to ensure Group standards and statutory obligations are met.
  • Provide advice and support on Vehicle access regimes, route planning, and driver assessment processes.
  • Manage return-to-work cases with the State SHE Coordinator.
About You
  • Previous transport industry experience preferred but not required; we can provide training and upskilling.
  • Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety are essential.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are required.
  • You should be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.
  • Environmental qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Training/Auditing Qualifications would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • You must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with various people.
  • You will need to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution.
  • You should be reliable, a team player, with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong data entry and accuracy skills are essential.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, time management, and organization skills are necessary.
  • You must be focused and compliant with all safe work practices.
