Structural Engineering Expertise

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle.

This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work, project management and client relationships within a large and well-established international consultancy.

  • Design and inspection of buildings, including assessments and reporting.
  • Collaborative working with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers on multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
  • Project leadership and team management to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participation in projects from conception through to final design and construction surveillance.

To succeed in this role:

  • A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering is required.
  • Minimum 8-12 years' experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth in building design projects in a consulting environment.
  • Practical application of a wide range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
  • Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
