Job Overview

Role Description:

This role is centered around leading and supporting open space programs to achieve organizational objectives.

The successful candidate will oversee engagement strategies, provide expert advice on stakeholder issues, and foster collaboration with state and local government agencies, community organizations, and integrate community and stakeholder interests into programs and planning to enhance impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies tailored to diverse audiences and objectives
  • Analyze and apply government policies, regulations, and legislative requirements relevant to open space management and planning
  • Prepare and draft high-quality written materials, including engagement strategies, advocacy plans, briefing documents, and reports
  • Lead community and stakeholder engagement for projects such as Places to Swim, Parks for People, and the NSW Open Space Strategy
  • Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery and advocacy of the value of public open space
Requirements:
  • Strong skills in developing, implementing, and analyzing community and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
