About Cumberland City Council's Open Spaces Team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer experiences and ensuring the maintenance of our public spaces. As a Team Member - Open Space, you will operate various plant and equipment at parks, gardens, sportsgrounds, and other facilities to ensure they remain in good condition.

This role offers flexibility and variety, with opportunities to work across different locations and teams. You will have the chance to make a real difference in the community by contributing to the upkeep of our public spaces and providing exceptional service to residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate small plant and equipment at Council's parks and facilities
  • Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with Council's Open Space operations
  • Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality results

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in park maintenance and industry best-practice
  • Demonstrated ability to operate small plant and equipment safely and effectively
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
