Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Trade Support Specialist to join our team in the Singleton area.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of trade services, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a range of trade services, including Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC
  • Conduct basic grounds maintenance tasks, such as mowing lawns and trimming bushes
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure a clean and functional workspace
  • Set up and pack away equipment
  • Perform general handyman duties
  • Assist with minor building work, such as fit-outs and cabinets
  • Conduct site clean-ups, including hosing, sweeping and shovelling
  • Carry out regular inspections
  • Drive heavy vehicles in the pit of the mine
  • Communicate with colleagues to determine daily work priorities
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Participate in daily risk management processes and regular toolbox meetings

Requirements:

  • Experience in building maintenance or a related field
  • Strong understanding of tools and equipment
  • Excellent work ethic and reliability
  • Confident communication skills
  • Clean driving record and own transport
  • White Card
  • Reside within 45 minutes drive of Singleton
  • High level of physical fitness
  • Grounds maintenance experience an advantage
  • Able to plan, prioritise and problem-solve
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to stand/walk for long periods
  • Documented risk management experience
  • Understanding of Work, Health & Safety
  • Ability to provide references
  • Pass a full medical examination
