Aboriginal Identified Trade Store Customer Service Position

New Start acknowledges the traditional custodians of country throughout Australia, recognizing their ongoing connection to land and culture.

This is an Indigenous-identified position. Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone or front counter
  • Build relationships with customers through face-to-face, over-the-phone, and counter-based sales enquiries
  • Process customer orders, credits, and complete quotes in a timely manner
  • Contribute to stock replenishment, stock takes, and showroom displays
  • Manage cash handling transactions using various payment methods
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards of the trade store counter and packing areas

Required skills and qualifications:

Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

Previous experience in customer service or trade store settings preferred

Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office proficiency

Experience working in retail or trade counters beneficial

Schedule:

8-hour shift
