Social Responsibility is at the heart of this role, where you will be working closely with local communities to promote tourism and support Indigenous employment.

Job Description
  • Promote Kakadu Tourism in the local community through strong partnerships with businesses and organisations.
  • Build lasting relationships with Traditional Owners (Mirrar and Murrumburr clans) to support collaborative initiatives.
  • Represent Kakadu Tourism at local events and identify opportunities for joint ventures and community-driven projects.

This role requires a deep understanding of local Aboriginal customs and engagement practices, as well as excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and reporting abilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 2 years in a similar role, with strong knowledge of local Aboriginal communities, customs, and engagement practices.
  • Strong communication & leadership skills, confident working with diverse stakeholders, including community leaders and boards.
  • Strategic thinking & adaptability, able to plan long-term, navigate complex environments, and lead initiatives with integrity, flexibility, and a passion for Indigenous employment and tourism.
