Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Marine and Offshore division, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Seaworthiness and Regulatory Advisory business.

Responsibilities
  • You will contribute to the development of policies, regulations, and procedures for seaworthiness, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Support the creation of guidance material and acceptable means of compliance for the seaworthiness regulations and framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop engineering solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Review engineering documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders and provide technical insights as needed.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or a related field is required, along with relevant industry experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in maritime engineering or regulatory fields is preferred.
  • You must hold an Australian Government Security clearance on commencement.
  • Familiarity with work health and safety and environmental compliance is essential.
  • Knowledge of Australian and International maritime conventions and laws, as well as the Defence regulatory environment, is necessary.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities are required.
