Job Summary:
The Production Painter is responsible for preparing and painting equipment at our Port Macquarie manufacturing facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare sections, parts, materials, and equipment for painting
- Painting duties
- Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning agents
- Mix paint according to Technical Data Sheets and apply per manufacturer recommendations
- Adjust spray gun, paint booth, and mix room settings to achieve quality paint finish outcomes in a safe environment
- Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections
- Operate machinery
- Monitor machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards and make adjustments as necessary
- General cleaning and housekeeping duties
- General ad-hoc duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficient Language, Literacy, and Numeracy, including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, and understand basic numeracy such as measurements, parts numbers, and quantities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to take direction and work as part of a busy team
- Good communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
