At Panthers Port Macquarie, we are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our kitchen team. With excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality food, you will play a vital role in the successful operation of our kitchen.

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic team player to work behind the scenes, ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving food to our members and guests.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to high standards, using fresh ingredients and following strict health and safety guidelines.
  • Cater for functions and events, providing exceptional service to our customers.
  • Manage stock levels, conducting regular stock takes and recording wastage to minimize losses.
  • Receive and inspect food deliveries, ensuring safe storage and handling practices.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to strict cleaning schedules and protocols.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in a busy commercial kitchen environment.
  • A Commercial Cookery Trade Qualification, demonstrating your expertise in food preparation and presentation.
  • Previous function catering experience, showcasing your ability to work under pressure and deliver exceptional results.
  • Fantastic communication skills, allowing you to effectively interact with colleagues, management, and customers.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • A good level of physical fitness, enabling you to lift and carry kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and team collaboration, driving business success through exceptional service and teamwork.
