Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage end-to-end accounts payable processes. This role offers a casual position with the potential to become a full-time ongoing position for the right candidate.


About the Position

This is a casual role reporting to our Accounting team, responsible for ensuring data accuracy and integrity while working on large volumes of data.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Analysis and Coding: Work through boxes of hard copy invoices, determine what each invoice is for, and locate the corresponding record in MYOB. If a record is not in MYOB, enter it accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconstructing Accounts in MYOB: Update MYOB records to match the updated General Ledger.
  • Fixed Asset Reconciliation: Ensure items are recorded as fixed assets in MYOB and properly expensed. Review the Fixed Asset register and reconcile against hard copy invoices and MYOB records.
  • Data Validation & Auditing: Conduct regular audits and validation checks to ensure data integrity and minimize errors or duplication.
  • Data Analysis: Use basic analytical tools to identify patterns and trends in large datasets and present insights clearly and accessibly.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable and reconciliation.
  • Exposure to fixed asset registers and understanding of their importance.
  • Experience managing and entering large volumes of data with a focus on accuracy and speed.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in basic Excel data analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas); knowledge of SQL or other data manipulation tools is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills to interact with internal teams and present data insights.
  • Understanding of working in corporate settings with emphasis on data privacy, compliance, and security.
