
Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Support Specialist

SensesWA is seeking Support Workers to provide care and assistance to Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals with disability in various settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those they support.
- Proficiency in Auslan.
- Experience working with people with various disabilities, including non-verbal and vision impairment.
- High levels of trust, honesty, and integrity to maintain professional relationships.
- Resilience and experience working with challenging situations.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other professionals to deliver person-centered supports that promote social inclusion, health, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Auslan-based support to clients in daily living activities, such as personal care and community access.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in consultation with clients and their support networks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current WA Working With Children's Check.
- Current Australian Driver's License and insured vehicle.
