Family Liaison Officer

As a Family Liaison Officer, you will provide school-based and outreach support services, including counselling, advocacy, provision of information, and skills development, to children and their families.
This is a permanent part-time position based in Ipswich, requiring 22.8 hours of work per week. To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in the Social Sciences, Social Work, or similar community services field
- Minimum 2 years' industry experience working within a similar position
- Experience in developing and delivering comprehensive individual and group programs to support children and their families
- Experience in working with at-risk children, young people, and families, who are subject to child protection statutory interventions
- Ability to work within boundaries and maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
- The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Blue Card
- COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended for this role but not a mandatory requirement.
